Once we re-listed our home, it quickly became apparent to us that there is a big difference between a realtor simply listing a home in a good market and a skilled realtor that actually sells a home in a tough market. You were very responsive and went the extra mile to get the deal done, including prodding buyers to move quickly on our property, negotiating a challenging deal with an international buyer and connecting us with a cost-effective contractor to work through inspection issues. I was lucky enough to be referred to Charlie when I was considering buying for the first time. Charlie made the whole process comfortable and fun. He was available for all of my questions, large and small and he really "got" was I was looking for and helped me find a place that I am thrilled with. In February of 2005 my husband and I were fortunately put in touch with Charlie as we began our search for a family home on the South Shore. Our biggest handicap was our hectic lives and the fact that my husband already working for his new employer in Boston while I held down a job and ran household in Virginia. Needless to say, we did not have much spare time to scout the area and relied heavily on Charlie’s relocation experience, his almost intuitive sense of what we might like, and his unflagging dedication to the “search”. Between the internet and Charlie’s well researched feedback on each property of interest, we were able to find what we consider the nicest house we have ever owned (out of the five total) within a very short period of time. After we closed, he went above and beyond and helped us find a wonderful array of contractors to get our new home in order before our move. We have worked with many brokers in the past 10 yrs, buying, selling and building 6 times. Until we met Charlie, we always dealt with the listing broker on the land or home we were buying, and the realtors we used to sell were sub par to say the least. Charlie, from the moment we called his office for a showing on a house they had listed, has worked hard for us. He came right out and showed us the house at 6:00PM on weekend night and although we had no interest in that house, he asked what we were looking for, our likes, dislikes and about 20 more questions to narrow down our search. We left that showing thinking, is this guy for real?!! He said he would email us listings to look at based on our conversation, we figured we would get the usual, a list of everything on the MLS and maybe 1 or 2 phone calls and that would be the end of it. But not Charlie, he sent us listings that we were interested in and proceeded to work tirelessly with us till we found the perfect piece of land to build on. Charlie has a great grasp on the real estate market, is a wonderful guy to work with in finding what you want, and works hard for you. We recommend him to everyone we know.
My wife and I ran into Charlie at an open house a few years ago. Even though the house we met Charlie in was well above our price range Charlie connected with us that day, and followed up with us soon thereafter to learn more about what we were looking for. After an exhaustive search that happened over a period of a year and included me losing my job and finding new employment Charlie was always helpful and never lost patience with us, or the situation. After visiting what seemed like 30 – 40 houses in 7 different towns Charlie helped us find the house we’d always wanted – but never thought would become a reality.
